The Forum was pleased to host renowned artist and designer Maya Lin for a presentation of new and major works including her ongoing project What is Missing and Ghost Forest, an installation currently on view in NYC's Madison Square Park. Introduced by Carol Becker, Dean of Columbia University School of the Arts, the presentation was followed by a conversation between Maya Lin and Andrew Revkin of Columbia's Earth Institute.
The Question of Faith in Contemporary Black Life | February 18, 2021
The Forum was pleased to join with Columbia University’s Center on African-American Religion, Sexual Politics and Social Justice (CARSS) to present The Question of Faith in Contemporary Black Life, a virtual event that coincided with the release of a new Pew Research Center study, Faith Among Black Americans. The study, published on February 16, is the Center’s most comprehensive, in-depth attempt to explore religion among Black Americans.

The Forum was proud to join Columbia Libraries in hosting the keynote address of the 2021 John Jay Papers Conference. The keynote, entitled “Life in an Age of Conflicts and Extremes,” was given by Prof. Joanne Freeman and livestreamed by The Forum.
